Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center Wedding - Nashville TN
Recently, we had the privilege of photographing Heather Bailey & Adam Hunter's wedding with accents of pink and roses at The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a pure delight professionally to get to serve such sweet, fun-loving people like Heather, Adam and their family and friends. We’ve never had the chance to shoot a wedding at The Gaylord Opryland Resort before. I have personally photographed other events there, but never a wedding, so that’s always a stimulating change to find the best light and locations when the whole place if full of options and gorgeous backdrops throughout.
The real reason I knew this wedding was going to be awesome, though. In my first meeting with the Bride! Hands down so relaxed about the whole thing. Heather knew what she wanted and how everything was to play out so she and her husband could get the most enjoyment out of their Forever-After day. With a harp being played so beautiful during the wedding, to a surprise, and I mean a super surprise, for the groom, a bag-piper to lead them from where they said their "til death do us parts", sealed with a kiss, the whole wedding was just beautiful as well as different at the same time.
The brother of the bride was feeling poorly so we didn't get some of those images planned because, well, he needed to be elsewhere until right at wedding time. But... we moved forward with images of his precious baby girl and beautiful wife until he could make it to the ceremony, because let's face it, everyone will enjoy seeing that baby girl, flower girl as a matter fact, many years from now. Another difference, this bride also wanted to get ready privately and not worry with that style of wedding images to give them more time yet again to enjoy family portraits and more.
Even the playlist at the reception from the low-key dinner music to the line dancing and of course the Bride and Groom's introduction dance was spot on. Speaking of good music, this married couple was introduced into their reception by non other than a Bag Piper. How cool is that?
And you've heard the term "blushing Bride".... how about "blushing Groom"... you have to check out the image where a proud mother is kissing the groom, total blush - total sweet. And while speaking of the Groom, you have to love one that videos family friends while he and his Bride are being announced. Total fun.
Seriously, though. From the first time I met Heather during her wedding consultation to the moment I saw the gorgeous rose covered arbor with water fountain underneath, I knew that we were going to love your wedding day! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the trust you placed in me and my business to document your biggest day of your life thus far together. I sincerely hope you will love looking back on these memories captured as much as we loved being there for you.
